Back 2 Front are a world class animation company, and have done work for the likes of Sony and Nickelodeon. They commissioned us to create a piece of music for their show reel. Their brief was to have something that sounded quite funky along the lines of ‘Groove Is In The Heart’ by Dee Lite, but didn’t have to sound to similar. This was great because it gave us plenty of scope, to develop something creatively. We set about working out the BPM from the initial work in progress, and then developed elements of the track in line with the timbres and feel of Groove Is In The Heart. We then developed a female vocal line with intricate melodies and harmonies, before finally editing, producing and mastering the piece. Our aim was to give B2F an original stamp, they loved it, we hope you like it, too.
We asked Resonance to create an original piece of showreel music for us. We gave them a few song examples we liked the beat and rhythm of and thought expressed us and our work. The piece of work they came back with was outstanding. Not only had they incorporated the song examples, the added twists of creativity they had put in were amazing. We will definitely be using them again for any additional sound work for animation theme tunes or sound effects.”
